JOIN USHe was speaking at a workshop organised on ‘The facilities offered to the Lake Development Committees’, organised recently by the Watershed Project Committee of the Water Resources Department, in Kolar recently.
Munegowda said, the Government had formed several projects from the various revenue-generating activities. But, unfortunately, the farmers did not have sufficient information in this regard.
Guidance to farmers
By organising such workshops, efforts were being made to enlighten and guide the farmers on these aspects, he added.
Various officials belonging to different departments, including Assistant Director of Agriculture Department Bhavya, Lead Bank Manager Thimmappa, officials of the Watershed Development Department, Horticulture Department, Fisheries, and several others gave vital information on the various schemes and projects of the Government.
Demonstration and documentaries were also exhibited on the occasion.
Deputy Secretary of the Zilla Panchayat Lakshminarayan, Executive Engineer Ramachandrareddy, environmentalist N L Raghav and several others were present on the occasion.
Agricultural expert Ramakrishna welcomed. Environmentalist Vinayak compered the programme. V N Anand proposed a vote of thanks.
