QI am 16 years old and skinny. Can you suggest ways for me to put on a few kilos?

AIt would have been more helpful if you gave me your height and weight, to guide you better. Anyway, gaining weight is just as difficult as losing it, especially for those who have a high metabolic rate. You should aim to gain quality weight, and that is muscle.

You could start resistance training/ pilates/ aerobics. On alternate days of the week, start a 40-minute session with guidance from a certified trainer. You could run/jog or play a sport. It is important to get your fitness levels and stamina up.

It’s also very essential to eat right. You should have fruits and vegetables (5 servings), wholegrain cereals (6 servings), sprouts/ lentils (1 serving), egg/lean meats (1 serving), nuts and seeds (10 gm) a day.

QHow can I get rid of dark spots under my eye lids?

A Dark spots or patches under the eyes form due to over exposure to sun, stress, inadequate sleep, hereditary factors, etc. Apply almond oil under the eyes every day and leave it on for 15 minutes. Then wipe it off gently with moist cotton wool. The skin around the eyes is delicate and should be treated gently. Mix cucumber and potato juice in equal quantities. Apply under the eyes for 20 minutes. Wash with plain water.

Before going out in the sun, apply a sunscreen lotion under the eyes. Add a drop of water to it before applying, to give it lighter coverage.
