TCS launches cloud-computing solution for SMBs

Using a pay-per-use business model, the integrated IT solution helps SMBs leverage world-class technology solutions as a key business differentiator, removes the need for SMBs to invest in IT assets or hire talent for operating the systems.

"The solution addresses the entire spectrum of an SMB's technology needs which range from business solutions like human resources, finance, inventory, sophisticated domain-based Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions, as well as basic applications like e-mail, document management and website services," V. Ramaswamy, Global Head, iON, told reporters.

By using iON, SMB can save 40 percent cost on various business operations, he said. To provide SMB customers with seamless service, iON has created an eco-system of 90 cloud service partners across India. iON's industry solutions are currently available for manufacturing, textiles, education, retail, quick service restaurants, wellness and professional services.

iON has already garnered over 150 SMB customers. The firm claims that these customers are experiencing the benefits of increased efficiencies; faster go to market, predictability of technology, talent on call and an expanded customer base.

Andhra Pradesh has over 230,000 SMBs employing close to 2.2 million people. Besides Hyderabad, other SMBs hubs are in Vizag, Warangal, Karimnagar, Chittor, East and West Godavari, Guntur, Krishna and Kurnool.
