FBI searches 3 jewelery stores of Indian-Americans in Jersey

FBI spokesman Bryan Travers said the agency was carrying out a "search" at these jewelry stores and refrained from giving any information.

Informed sources, said the three stores - Ashu Jewelers, Raja Jewelers and Nikita Jewelers - were alleged to be involved in money laundering.

Officials of the FBI cyber crime branch were reported to be on the scene. Eyewitnesses said FBI officials were seen taking away with them computers from these stores. The three jewelry stores were closed by the FBI officials.

Travers did not give any reason for the search operation. He did not say if any case has been registered against these stores.
