A case has been registered against Srinivas for raping the minor girl. He has been remanded to judicial custody.
Cases have also been booked against Manju and Balaji of Chikkaballapur and Siddappaji of Kolar for helping the couple to get married.
Held for misusing funds
The town police have arrested Jagadish, former secretary of Silk Growers’ Cooperative Society at Ambedkar Nagar here, for misusing funds.
A case was registered against him in 2009 for misusing the funds meant for implementing Yashaswini scheme. He had been absconding after the case was booked against him.
