Assembly constituencies Chittapur (SC), Govindarajanagar, Ramanagara, Channapatna and Kollegal (SC) will go to polls on August 18. Last date for filing nomination papers is July 29
A total of three candidates filed their nomination papers from Govindarajanagar. Interestingly, one Kranthi Raju has filed a set of papers as the BJP candidate from the
constituency.
His papers are likely to be rejected as the party has officially chosen Housing Minister V Somanna as its candidate. One candidate each filed their nominations from Ramanagara, Channapatna and Kollegal on Saturday. There were no nominations from Chittapur.
