As compared to the 65 per cent last year, Shidlaghatta has got 85.30 per cent this time.
K Swathi of Jnanajyothi School, Jangamakote, is the taluk topper with 603 and 96.48 per cent. The second rank in the taluk went to Sharath Gowda, also of Jnanajyothi School, with 593 and 94.88 per cent. Sagar of Saraswathi Convent, Shidlaghatta, was third with 591 and 94.56 per cent.
As many as 2,607 students from the 40 schools in the taluk, 16 government schools, five aided and 19 unaided schools, answered the exams in 16 centres. Of them, 2,220 students have passed- 1,133 girls and 1087 boys.
Eleven schools in Shidlaghatta taluk have got 100 per cent results.
Block Education Officer Shrikantha applauded the efforts put in by the students who worked hard, teachers who taught well and parents who supported their children, for the excellent results in the SSLC exams.
“Their achievement should prove an inspiration for others and motivate them to get good marks,” he added.
