Speaking to mediapersons after participating in the special pujas and homas organised as part of birthday celebrations of former prime minister H D Deve Gowda at Ahobala Mutt in Melkote, he ridiculed chief minister B S Yeddyurappa for struggling to retain his chair, though he had lost majority.
The CM has been lying and was resorting to utter shamelessness to save his position. The Speaker had disqualified the 11 MLAs to save Yeddyurappa from losing his chair, but the Supreme Court had given a befitting reply to them, he said.
He also defended the Governor’s report to centre and urged the Centre to immediately accept the report and implement president’s rule in the state.
