Telgi's medical report submitted before HC

The report stated that Telgi suffered from various ailments, including dyslipidemia, hypothyroidism, diabetes mellitus, and was being treated frequently at various hospitals in the City, besides receiving antiritroviral therapy.

Though the report states Telgi is being treated at various hospitals like Jayadeva Institute of Cardiology, Nimhans and Victoria, it also says the health of the accused is stable.

The court has directed the State to file objections to the bail plea Telgi had filed on health grounds.

Notice to Chetana Kumble

The Division Bench headed by Justice N K Patil  has issued notice to Chetana Kumble, the wife of cricketer Anil Kumble in a petition filed by her ex-husband, Kumar Jahgirdar.

The petitioner has challenged the order of the family court granting custody of their daughter Aruni to Chetana. He has claimed that the family court failed to appreciate the documents placed before it and recorded incorrect findings against him. The matter has been adjourned.

Illegal mining permits

The High Court on Tuesday lashed out at the State government over illegal extension of the sand mining lease in Shimoga district.

Hearing a petition filed by Santosh Kumar on Tuesday, the Division Bench, comprising Chief Justice J S Khehar and Justice H G Ramesh, directed the Government to file an affidavit immediately for extending the lease. The Bench said that the Department of Mines and Geology was issuing “illegal” mining permits.
