“There are opportunities, especially for small and medium size companies, to develop products in sectors like cloud computing, mobile applications and software-as-a-service. The future is bright and we need to make full use of it”, Nasscom President Som Mittal said here at a one-day Nasscom Emergeout Conclave.
The event was themed ‘India should be a launch Pad for Product companies in future’.
Stating that India is a global leader software services, he said it is time to create more product companies. “We should have at least 500 product companies in the next 5 years”.
MindTree Ltd CEO K Natarajan said global demand for IT outsourcing is estimated to touch $1.7 trillion in the next eight years.
