Arif, working in Qatar, is believed to have been murdered by his collegues. He was at his house in Doha on Friday night, when his Sri Lankan fellow workers killed him and fled the scene. According to Arif’s brother, he and Arif were asleep at their home when they heard a familiar voice at around 1 am. As soon as Arif opened the door, he was stabbed at his chest. Though he was rushed to the hospital, he succumbed to the injuries, en route to the hospital.
Though the reason for the murder is yet to be ascertained, it is said that both Arif and a person from Sri Lanka were in love with a same woman and this issue would have led to the gruesome murder.
