'Playport' takes off at BIA

Officials of the Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL) said the initiative aims to enhance the experience of young travellers through a series of fun activities and visuals that depict various art and cultural facets of south India.

The campaign features activities such as creating pen stands by painting pots with acrylic colours, learning to make kites, beads, attractive key chains with names, taking photographs against monuments and scenes typical of south India and even creating etched drawings of south Indian monuments.

Besides, games such as snake-and-ladder measuring 40 sq ft and hopscotch are spread across the airport terminal.

A puppet show has also been organised every day between 5 pm and 8 pm in the plaza area where traditional tales are narrated through the local art form.

Also, at both, the domestic and the international security hold areas, maps of south India are placed with racing tracks for, to operate remote control cars on.
