Political parties, both the ruling Akali Dal and the opposition Congress in Punjab, are strongly rallying behind Bhullar, a mechanical engineer, to ensure he’s not hanged.
Canada’s opposition party has asked Prime Minister Stephen Harper to urge India to review his death penalty.
Shiromani Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee is also throwing its weight around Bhullar.
Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and Punjab Congress president Capt Amarinder Singh too have minced no words in support of clemency for Bhullar.
