According to sources, a few youth have been picked up from Shabeer Nagar in Hunsur, Udaygiri and Mandi Mohalla in Mysore.

The kingpin of the entire episode is said to be from Shabeer Nagar, who conspired with friends in Mysore, sources said.
The kidnappers had placed a demand for ransom of upto Rs five crore. A team of police officers under ADGP (law and order) R K Dutta is investigating the case.
