Man kills pregnant wife, child

The police said the accused Kitta had quarrels with Asha and several attempts were made in the past to reconcile them. On Wednesday, however, Kitta doused his wife and son with kerosene and set them on fire.

Residents demand

Appalled by the gruesome crime the residents of Maradaghatta urged the police to arrest the parents of the accused.

Deputy Superintendent of Police K Seshadri and Sub-inspector Markandeya, who visited the village, pacified the agitated villagers.
