After visiting Dharmasthala and Subrahamanya, before leaving for Bangalore, Yeddyurappa held talks with Nagaraj Shetty at latter’s residence in Bejai for 30 minutes. Yeddyurappa condoled the death of Shetty’s mother Madhavi Shetty and father-in-law V Dayanand Shetty, who passed away on June 25 and June 24 respectively. The CM has asked Shetty to visit Bangalore after the religious rituals of his mother’s death.

Speaking to mediapersons, Shetty said “It is true that I have tendered resignation to the party membership. I have been mentally hurt following the death of my mother Madhavi Shetty and father-in-law V Dayanand Shetty. In this background, I have not decided on withdrawal of the resignation.”

“I am not interested in any post. I have not decided on changing the party. I will remain as a social worker till the end.”

Chief Minister has visited me casually. There is no need to give colour to it. I will hold discussions with the Chief Minister after my mother’s rituals.

District-in-Charge Minister Krishna Palemar, Excise Minister Renukacharya, Assembly Deputy Speaker Yogish Bhat, MP Nalin Kumar, MLC Capt Ganesh Karnik and others were also present.
