<p>Shimoga<br /></p>.<p>The Malnad region received heavy rain that triggered landslide near Kargal in Sagar taluk and collapse of Yennehole bridge between Tumari and Sigandhur. However, no casualties were reported. Inflow into the reservoirs has increased due to incessant rain in catchment areas of Tunga, Bhadra and Sharavati rivers. Water level in Linganmakki reservoir rose to 1796.60 ft and in Bhadra reservoir, it was 175.8 ft. Hulikal in Hosanagar taluk recorded the highest rainfall of 187 mm, Mastikatte - 155.60 mm, Yadur - 149 mm and Agumbe - 131mm in the past 24 hours. <br /><br />Davangere<br />Davangere recorded a rainfall of 10.5 mm, rising the water level in Tungabhadra river by 6.85 ft. A house at Garag in Channagiri taluk collapsed due to rain. <br /><br />Koppal<br />Tungabhadra reservoir near Munirabad in the district reached 1632.50 ft, only five feet short of its maximum capacity (1,633 ft). The authorities have cautioned residents on the banks of the river to move to safer places as water would be released any time due to increasing inflow into the reservoir. <br /><br />Hubli<br />Heavy rain pounded the twin cities of Hubli-Dharwad. The vehicle movement on the busy Pune-Bangalore National Highway 4 and some other major roads was affected mainly due to waterlogging. However, no casualties were reported. <br /><br />Karwar<br />Incessant rain pounded Karwar district throughout the day. Water level in rivers Kali, Gangavali, Aghanashini, Sharavathi and Badagani went up and so also the inflow to reservoirs. Vehilce movement was affected on NH-17. <br /><br />Haveri<br />Intermittent drizzle in the last two days have thrown life out of gear in the district. The rain dampened the festive spirit of the people who were observing ‘Nagapanchami’. There has been no major damage, except the breaching of a tank at Hirekanagi village.</p>
