Ex-CM shelves State-wide tour plan

Addressing mediapersons on Saturday Yeddyurappa said: “ I have directed my followers to refrain from organising a public rally on November 20 in the City to mark the launch of my State-wide tour.”

The tainted former chief minister wanted to demonstrate his strength to both his detractors and the Party high command by touring the State.

Yeddyurappa expressed that he was surprised by the overwhelming support he received from the people in the State on his return from jail.

“I shall not disappoint them. In future I shall be very cautious about every step that I take,” he said. He further said that though he strove to build the party for four decades, recent developments had left him deeply hurt.
