A P Ranganath is the new general secretary while Rajasekhar was elected treasurer. The Association has about 16,000 members of which about 13,000 hold the biometric smart cards to be eligible to vote.
Reddy polled 3,460 votes, defeating his nearest rival H C Shivaram, who could secure only 1,810 votes. The incumbent, K N Puttegowda, stood a distant third and H M Mariyappa came last.
Counting of votes for electing members of the Governing Councils of various courts is still on and results would be declared by Sunday midnight.
The election, held every two years, had as many as 135 candidates in the fray for 32 posts.
