The association submitted a memorandum to in charge DDPI Vedamurthy on Wednesday, They warned off boycotting the Teachers Day celebration, if they fail to get the salaries.
“Madikeri taluk aided high school teachers and staff have not received salary from June. The teachers are in dire straits. Though we have appealed to release the salary several times, no concrete actions have been taken so far,” said Association President D M Mohan and Secretary K S Krishna.
The salary has been released in Virajpet and Somwarpet after they resorted to protest.
Zilla Panchayat Chief Accountant Surendra said the government has not released the salary from June. “We have already submitted a proposal to the Finance department,” he said.
