Speaking to the media persons on Saturday he said that Nanaiah simply pretends of trying to solve Jamma Bane issue, whereas in reality he misleads the discussion process that are held between the delegation and the chief minister.

“I am fed up of his attitude and I have decided not to accompany any of the delegations related to Jamma Bane issue. Henceforth my fight will be through the legal proceedings,” he said.

Addressing other issues, he said that the environmentalists and the corrupt officers are conspiring to bring Kodagu under the Forest Department. M C Nanaiah too has joined his hands in this conspiracy of the environmentalists. “Though no issue prevails with regard to Bane land in reality, the problem has arisen due to the attitude of few corrupt officers,” he alleged.

Subbaiah said that there would be no issue at all if the judgement given by the High Court in relation to Chekkera Poovaiah is applied to all other cases. Therefore justice would be sought through the Courts. “Steps should be taken to provide basic infrastructure to the tribal communities before the implementation of projects like eco-sensitive zones and Greater Talacauvery. Let the government do whatever it wishes, but let it provide good roads, railway connectivity and electricity supply to the district first,” he said.

He criticised Assembly Speaker K G Bopaiah for not fulfilling his assurances of solving Jamma Bane issue in the district.

Expressing his views over Bellary by poll, he said that it would be a severe set back to the BJP if Sriramulu wins the election. If Sriramulu emerges victorious then there are all chances of him joining hands with JD(S) leader H D Kumaraswamy. “If at all the BJP candidate wins, then B S Yeddyurappa would become the chief minister again,” he said.
