Child injured in building collapse

A 12-year-old boy was injured after an under constuction old building collapsed at Sarai Rohilla in north Delhi on Sunday, police said.

“Amjad Khan was playing at Daya Basti Gujjar colony around 1 pm, when a building under construction collapsed on him, sustaining injuries,” said a police officer. He was rushed to Bara Hindu Rao hospital from where he was discharged after under-going preliminary treatment.

“A case has been registered and probe is on. The owner of the building, Furkan, has been taken into custody and will be arrested if found to be guilty of deliberate neglect,” added the officer.
