Iranian referred for psychiatric treatment

A foreign student who created ruckus allegedly in an intoxicated state after barging into a temple in the city on Tuesday, has been admitted at the psychiatry ward of K R Hospital.

Troshizimethi, 26, from Iran who was arrested by  N R Police was produced before a court.
The judge referred him to psychiatric treatment. Following this, he has been admitted at the general ward of the hospital.

Sources said as the special ward at the hospital is always full, with the authorities going by the waiting list, the student may be shifted to National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (Nimhans) for further treatment.

The student had barged into Anjaneya Swamy temple in Hanumantha Nagar near Bannimantap allegedly roughing up the priests.  Following an information, the police had taken the youth causing trouble into custody.

Body found
South police have recovered highly decomposed body of a woman at Varuna canal on Wednesday.

The body was found in the canal near Eligehundi off Mysore-Nanjangud road. The woman is aged around 25, wearing a sweater and chudidar. Relatives if any may contact the police on 2444955.
