<p>A 11-year-old girl drowned in the Cauvery River while six rpt six, including three women, are missing,police said.</p>.<p>Police said nine rpt persons, comprising two families belonging to a suburb of Erode, had gone to the Vendipalayam Electricity Barrage around 3.30 pm and decided to take bath in the river.<br /><br />It was stated that seven persons were washed away while the other two managed to swim to the bank and shout for help.<br /><br />Some persons in the area jumped into the river and recovered the girl's body, sources said.<br /><br />Search is on to trace the remaining six rpt six with Fire and Rescue Service Personnel engaged in the operations.</p>
