Manipal, which is known all over the world for its educational institutions  welcoming students from over 100 countries is also known for its quite surroundings.

At the dead end of Manipal (on western side) lies End point, a beautiful place in Manipal to spend their evenings. Known for its panoramic view and wonderful lush green landscape overlooking a river, it has been attracting the students from Manipal, health freaks and for Manipalites. It is situated at the end of Manipal hillock and is two kilometres away from Manipal University campus.

The End Point is away from hustle and bustle of the modernity and is blessed by Mother Nature.
The enchanting view of river Swarna that flows at the foot of the hill is the main attraction of End Point. In the midst of the serenity of the nature, this place is exactly opposite to its name. A casual visit to this place gives a new life and brings one more closer to the nature. A view point has been built, to help the visitors to enjoy the beauty of sun set and nature and spend quite some time amidst the nature. The view point has seating arrangement as well.

End Point is a boon to fitness freaks. A long walk to this place will surely reduce many calories. Roads that lead to the End Point are covered with variety of trees and thorny bushes on both sides. One can experience a sharp biting wind and thorny plants pricking the feet on the slopes of the hill. More visitors are seen at End Point during the sunset. A glimpse of the sun that looks beautiful before giving way to the darkness will indeed provide a great visual treat to the visitors.

It is one of those quite, scenic places where time comes to a stand-still. End Point has recently been renovated and now has a lovely garden with lawn and flower bearing plants. There is jogging track all around it, which is ideal for morning walks and jogging. Trekking down the place is very exciting as one can see all sorts of plants, thorny bushes and walk around vegetation down the plane. “We go to Manipal End Point during evenings, just to spend time amidst nature, away from the busy schedule of our classrooms and examinations,” said students from Manipal Institute of Technology.
