In a freak accident, a toddler put his father’s four wheeler into gear which rolled back and crashed into a 50-year-old woman killing her.

The mishap took place when Madamma was walking near Rajesh’s house on Bhadrappa Street in Cox Town.

Rajesh, who had made his son sit in the front seat of his car, parked outside the house, left him unattended to go back inside for a few minutes.  However, the playful toddler put the vehicle into gear. The car which was parked in the reverse, rolled down the road and hit Madamma.

Due to the speed at which the car rolled down, she sustained fatal head injuries.  Another woman Manjula, 30, who was accompanying her, sustained injuries.  While Madamma died at Santosh Hospital, Manjula survived with a hip fracture and is undergoing treatment.

Body found
A gunny bag containing a man’s body was found in front of a house on second main road at Byrappa Block in Thyagarajanagar Sunday morning.

The deceased is Narayanaswamy, an auto driver aged around 25 years.  A few locals noticed the bag lying against an electric pole and informed the police immediately.
