Two of the three people who abducted a pregnant woman in west Delhi have been arrested and a search is on for the third accused who had raped her, police said Sunday.
The two arrested men identified as Rinku, 19, and Rahul, 20, residents of Deepak Vihar, have been arrested while the third accused, Sanjay is still absconding. In her statement, the victim said she had come to her parents home in Ranhola area recently. She was on her way back home when the three stopped her and forcibly took her to a secluded place Friday where Sanjay raped her.
"The duo were nabbed the same day of the incident after an intensive effort made by police while the third accused is still absconding. As the victim has been claiming that she was raped by only the third accused, police have registered cases under different sections against the trio,” said Additional Commissioner of Police V. Renganathan.
