Stop construction work at night

We, the residents of Countryside Layout, Sarjapur Road, filed a complaint with the Palike office at Marathahalli and the police station at HSR Layout asking them to direct Saket Builders to stop all construction activities after 9 pm on the adjacent plot of land.

We spoke to the site engineer, but he refused to co-operate saying they have the support of local politicians and goons. The site engineer also threatened us from taking any action. Can the authorities concerned look into this and ensure that construction activity is stopped from 9 pm to 9 am?

Uncleared garbage, dog menace

Kumaraswamy Layout is populated with hundreds of stray dogs. One can see packs of five to 12 dogs roaming on the roads. They chase motorists, scatter garbage on the roads, dirty doorsteps and tear car covers. Parents are afraid to sending their children outside for fear of dog attacks.

Can the Palike find a solution to this problem?

We are staying at Sanjaynagar 4th Main. There are two vacant sites where people throw garbage and this attracts stray dogs.

The foul smell emanating from the garbage forces us to keep our windows closed at all times, and it has also increased mosquito problem.

We request the BBMP authorities to clear the garbage and solve the stray dog menace. ResidentsSanjaynagar 4th Main

Mails not delivered for weeks

We live on 6th Main Road in Malleswaram. For the last few weeks, mails have not been delivered properly to the residents in our neighbourhood.

When enquired at the post office, we were told that the person delivering mails to our area has some personal problems and that is why the mails are not being delivered properly. We were also told that the mails to be delivered are piling up by the day. Yet, the post office and the post master there have not done anything to have the mails delivered to us on time. We request the postal department to deliver the mails which have piled up immediately.

Asphalt roads

The road between Herohalli and Andhrahalli, especially near Syndicate Bank Colony, is in a poor state.

Also, the cross roads in residential localities such as Vidyamanyanagar, Omkarnagar and Raghavendranagar are dotted with several small and large potholes. During  rains, these potholes get filled with water. The authorities concerned should immediately take steps to repair these roads.

Repair streetlights

The streetlight in front of CV Raman Quarters on the eastern side of 2nd Main Road, Vyalikaval, as well as the streetlights at the bus stop adjacent to the quarters are not functioning for the last four months. Authorities should inspect and take remedial action early to avoid inconvenience.

Collection of garbage

The road behind Munivenkatappa Layout 3rd Cross and the BDA Layout (near Infant Jesus School) in Lingarajapuram are neglected. In spite of repeated requests, door-to-door garbage collectors dump garbage on this road, instead of loading it directly into the Corporation vehicle.

The dumped garbage is not cleared daily and the workers tend to set it on fire. Residents living around are forced to keep their doors and windows closed because of the smoke and smell.

The authorities concerned are requested to change the collection point of garbage.

Drinking water supply

The MEI Colony in Laggere is faced with severe water problem. Water is supplied only once a week. This, in spite of the adjacent layout being supplied water regularly.

It seems the problem is not the shortage of water, but merely that of management. We, therefore, request the authorities concerned to ensure that water is supplied at least thrice a week and for the entire day on Sunday.
