The National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers (NABH) conferred the prestigious accreditation to the Delhi government’s Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (ILBS).
Speaking on the occasion, health minister Dr A K Walia said it was a welcome development for the institute as it has received the prestigious accreditation in less than two years.
The institute is the first super-speciality government institute in the country to receive the “accredited” status, he said.
The accreditation was accorded by Dr Girdhan J Gyani, secretary-general, Quality Control of India and Chief Executive Officer, NABH.
