Three members of a dalit family were electrocuted in Hunusgeera village of Humanabad taluk on Wednesday. Police said, the deceased are Maruthi Lingappa (55), his wife Sakhu Bai (45) and their daughter, Ranjeeta (18).
A galvanised iron string fastened to a tree in their compound to dry clothes was electricified after Sakhu Bai put wet clothes on it and got electrucuted. While trying to save her, Maruthi also got electrocuted. A case has been registered.
