PEOPLE'S PROBLEMS

Stray dogs stalking

There is a huge empty plot in front of our building (No 30/15 Shakthi Apartments, Chenamma Kalayana Mantapa Road), which has become a self-acclaimed home for a lot of stray dogs and their never-ending litter of young ones.
They are always barking and running after vehicles that pass by, even attacking the pillion riders. They also enter our building and dirty our staircase area. It becomes difficult to chase them away. Our kids cannot go out of the building unattended because of these dogs who growl at them.
Most of the people living in this area have been facing this problem.
I have tried to call the BBMP and all local government bodies, but nothing has happened so far. They don’t even respond. They say they cannot take these dogs out of the area because of objections raised by local animal protection groups. Will the authorities look into it?

Road traps

Danger lurks at the bus stops on New Airport Road and near Airforce Training Command Gate (Mekhri Circle). Those crossing the roads are often at risk as buses stop on either side of the roads. Autos, and trucks too are seen at these shelters. The two-wheelers ply on this road from either side at racing speed. This is a great threat to school children and aged pedestrians. Cops hardly help in crossing the road. The concerned authorities should do something about it before it’s too late.
