Varun Berry resigns as PepsiCo India Foods CEO

Global beverages and snacks major PepsiCo today said Varun Berry, PepsiCo India Foods CEO, has resigned from the company.

"Varun Berry, CEO of PepsiCo India Foods, has decided to leave PepsiCo," PepsiCo India said in a statement.

Berry's 18-year career at PepsiCo included roles in the company's businesses in India, Asia and the Middle East. As the leader of PepsiCo India Foods, he oversaw the company's popular Lay's, Quaker, Kurkure and Lehar brands, it added.

Prior to his taking over as PepsiCo India Foods CEO, Berry served in Dubai as the head of International Dairy & Juice, Ltd, PepsiCo's joint venture with Saudi Arabia-based dairy company Almarai.

Before that, he worked as the General Manager for PepsiCo in the Philippines, with responsibility for both foods and beverages.

"PepsiCo is grateful for Varun Berry's service and we wish him and his family the very best in their future endeavors," the company said.

PepsiCo sells beverage brands like Pepsi, Mirinda, Slice and snacks brands like Uncle Chips, Lays and Cheetos in India.
