A local court has quashed a case of assault against actor Salman Khan and six others.
The chief metropolitan magistrate yesterday quashed the case on the basis of the final report submitted by Kakadeo police station, where the case was registered on November 29 last year.
According to the complaint lodged at Kakadeo police station by an NGO, its members had tried to hand over an 'Anna cap' to Salman during his visit to Kanpur on August 24 during the promotion of his movie 'Bodyguard' but instead of taking the cap, Salman instigated his bodyguards to use force to stop them. The guards not only manhandled them but also caused injuries.
However, Kakadeo police in its report stated that locals present at the site of the incident didn't approve of the allegations made by the NGO.
