'Hold men responsible for family planning'

Members from both the opposition and the ruling party said that everytime women were being held accountable for the failure of family planning measures.

 BJP MLC Prof Leela Rao said that men too will have to take responsibility and should not shy away from medical procedures aimed at family planning. Home Minister V S Acharya agreed that men too are equal stakeholders and said that except for Bangalore and Koppal districts, all other districts in Karnataka registered negative population growth for the past decade.
