Salman Khan is back with a bang. In ‘Wanted’, remake of Telugu film ‘Pokkiri’, Sallu ‘mia’ loves and kills with equal felicity. ‘Wanted’ starts with the old theme of Mumbai’s underworld getting out of hand and then Ashraf Khan (Govind Namdeo) is appointed Mumbai Police commissioner.

Radhe (Salman) is Gani Bhai (Prakash Raj)’s committed henchman in the city. He is ready to do anything for money but does not figure in the police records. Radhe falls in love with Janhvi (Ayesha Takia), who has a long list of requirements from  her boyfriend. Corrupt cop Talpade (Mahesh Manjrekar) also has an eye on Janhvi. Meanwhile, Radhe’s funny boss Gani Bhai lands in Mumbai and plans to eliminate a minister. He uses Radhe to kill most of his rivals. Then comes the twist and now, Radhe is hunted by the gangster. ‘Wanted’ rides on Salman’s star power. His performance as Radhe looks much like an extension of his real personality. Ayesha Takia looks gorgeous and acts well too. Mahesh Manjrekar is perfect in his role as a womaniser. Prakash Raj as Gani Bhai has a small, but pivotal role. Same goes for Vinod Khanna and Govind Namdeo. Overall, ‘Wanted’ belongs to the macho man, who shows his ‘dum’ in the flick. Prabhu Deva has done an excellent job. Music by Sajid Wajid is average, but the highlight of the film is Salman’s dancing skills. The climax is worth every rupee paid for the ticket.
