Inner Wheel Club gets new chief

 The president and office-bearers of the Inner Wheel Club of Bangalore Orchards (District 319) for 2012-13 were installed at a ceremony here on Tuesday.

Rajshree Shankar, the new president, received the rotary presidential badge from outgoing president Shyamala Umesh. In her acceptance speech, Rajshree described her journey as an “engaging experience”.

The service club will take up various projects this year. One of them is to provide education to children of life convicts. Besides, it will distribute solar lamps and charging stations among children from non-electrified areas.

On the occasion, the club’s new members were also inducted. Meena Amblee, district chairman; Amutha Suresh, AC member; V Vishwanath, Rotary president; Sathyanarayan, Rotary secretary, and others were present on the occasion. Swati Ramanathan was the chief guest.
