<p> <br />According to a press release, at Tannirbhavi beach the event was undertaken with help of Coastal Security Police, Mangalore and Indian Coast Guard Ship Kasturba Gandhi. At National Institute of Technology -Karnataka beach it was co-ordinated by staff and students of National Institute of Technology -Karnataka and Indian Coast Guard Ship Savitribai Phule.<br /><br /> The MCC and district medical officer provided the necessary infrastructure for the removal of garbage and provided the cleaning equipments. Commander Coast Guard (Karnataka) Commandant P S Jha inaugurated the event at Panambur beach. A total of 2,000 volunteers participated from various schools, colleges and NGO’s.</p>
