According to a press release, at Tannirbhavi beach the event was undertaken with help of Coastal Security Police, Mangalore and Indian Coast Guard Ship Kasturba Gandhi. At National Institute of Technology -Karnataka beach it was co-ordinated by staff and students of National Institute of Technology -Karnataka and Indian Coast Guard Ship Savitribai Phule.
The MCC and district medical officer provided the necessary infrastructure for the removal of garbage and provided the cleaning equipments. Commander Coast Guard (Karnataka) Commandant P S Jha inaugurated the event at Panambur beach. A total of 2,000 volunteers participated from various schools, colleges and NGO’s.
