Pride and Glory

Last Updated 15 May 2009, 17:03 IST

This family-cop drama tells the tale of corruption and virtue within the New York police department. The question being probed is a typical one: Which one would you choose when corruption creeps into your own family if you are a cop — tell the world the truth or push it under the carpet?

The film’s serious theme is tightly knit with the plot never revealing itself too much. Besides, the director’s decision to use a moving camera also generates enough tension and suspense till the very end. There are many good cops versus bad cops films but few have as much abusive language as ‘Pride and Glory’.

There are a few stereotypes towards the end as well. Otherwise, this film is a superb thriller with convincing performances from Edward Norton and Colin Farrell.
