Mahesh Bhatt upset with Pakistani singer

Film's music director Pritam had sent a minus one track of the song 'O Meri Jaan' to Nauman to test whether his voice would suit the song.

On hearing Nauman's version it was decided that KK's voice would be better suited for the song but Nauman went ahead and posted a video of the song three weeks before the music release of the film.

"I always made a conscious attempt to promote Indo-Pak cultural exchange and this move by Nauman will give my detractors another opportunity to speak against me," Bhatt said in a statement.

However, after the video was leaked, Nauman who had earlier who sung 'Mein Chala' in Bhatt's film 'Jashnn', has now put up an apology on social networking websites but Bhatt feels it is too late as the damage has already been done.

"I personally don't believe that he did it with any malice in his heart. I guess it was just a lapse in judgment because of his age... Though he did put an apology on all possible Social Networking Websites, however I feel that at this stage it is too late and too little. I feel that Pritam is badly hurt at this gesture of Nauman ," Bhatt said. The film 'Tum Mile' directed by Kunal Deshmukh stars Soha Ali Khan and Emraan Hashmi and is slated to hit the theatres on November 13.
