Q I am a 11-year-old girl and I have pimples on my face. Is there a face cream that will effectively prevent pimples from recurring? Do fairness creams work? I do not enjoy applying anything like almond oil or astringent lotion. So could you recommend a face cream that is affordable and accessible? Please help. A Creams usually contain oils, which can clog the pores of pimple-prone skin and lead to further pimples, or even an acne condition. Pimples usually occur on oily skin. Therefore, the use of astringent lotions do help, as they reduce oiliness of the skin. You can buy an astringent lotion and mix it with rose water in equal quantities. Keep it in an air-tight glass bottle in the fridge. Apply the lotion with cotton wool after washing your face. You can also mix rose water with sandalwood paste and apply daily on the face. Wash it off after 15 minutes. We can recommend Shaclove, which helps to control pimples and is suited to oily and sensitive skin. Apply a little Shaclove all over the face and wash it off with plain water after 15 minutes. Mix multani mitti with rose water and lemon juice into a paste. Apply on the face two or three times a week, avoiding the lips and area around eyes. Wash it off when it is dry. This will help your pimple problem and also help to remove tan.  Shahnaz Husain
