Foresight of Rajiv guides India: Agarwal

Leaders of the Congress party came together on Monday to make the 68th birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi.

Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president Jai Prakash Agarwal, MP said if India was an emerging economic power in its own right now, it was due to the vision, foresight and hard work of Rajiv Gandhi.

He who had set the ball rolling to make India a modern, forward-looking and technologically advanced nation, Agarwal saidAgarwal exhorted party workers to work hard to realise Rajiv’s dream of making India a world power in every respect.

“Rajiv Gandhi had dreamt of a bright future for India. We should take a pledge to realise Rajiv's dream of making India a world power and should work
hard to uplift Dalits and thepoor,” said Agarwal.

West Delhi parliamentarian Mahabal Mishra said Rajiv Gandhi always worked for a peaceful existence with our neighbours and believed that a modern and vibrant India will lead the world in the 21st century.MLAs Naseeb Singh, Malaram Gangwal, and Dayanand Chandela were  present. A 50-minute documentary on the life of Rajiv Gandhi was screened which captured the persona of Rajiv Gandhi.
