<p>The Akhila Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishath has called for a nation-wide college bandh on September 4, in protest against the coalgate scam. <br /><br /></p>.<p>Talking to reporters on Monday, Parishath’s national working committee member Subbaram, State co-ordinators N Ravikumar and Jayakrishna said there would be road blockade and dharna across the country, as a mark of protest. <br /><br />Counselling postponed<br /><br />Bangalore University has postponed its ongoing counselling for postgraduation courses.<br />Counselling for commerce courses, scheduled to be held on September 4, will be put off to September 13, on the premises of Academic Staff College, due to the bandh. <br /><br />The University conducted counselling for Commerce courses from ranks 1 to 900 on Monday.<br /> <br />RGUHS exam<br /><br />Meanwhile, the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) which has scheduled exams for B Pharma, Nursing, Pharmacology and allied sciences from September 4 has decided to go ahead with the exams as per schedule. <br /><br />Confirming the same, Registrar (E) Dr N S Ashok Kumar said the academic calendar has already been affected due to the exodus of north eastern students and another change to the exam schedule would hit the academic year. <br /><br />The Visvesvaraya Technological University too will conduct classes as usual. However, the classes will be conducted as usual.<br /></p>
