Kannada training for 1.10 lakh officers

 Now the authority wants to train them in Kannada, the official language of the State.
Kannada Development Authority Chairman Mukhyamantri Chandru, in a press conference, on Thursday said the authority identified the officers through a State-wide survey. Special training programme for all of them would begin in the first week of November.

In Mysore
Training for IAS, IPS and IFS cadre officers will be conducted in Administrative Training Institute in Mysore.

For others, training programmes will be conducted in association with Hampi Kannada University in district and taluk levels, he said.
The training programme would be completed in a gap of two years and would cost nearly Rs 2.5 crore. The authority had requested the government to bear the expense, he added.
