The company had sold 2,17,365 units in September last year, it said in a statement. Total two-wheeler sales during the month also increased by 14.33 per cent to 2,49,795 units compared to 2,18,494 units in the same period a year ago, it added. BAL’s exports went up by 17.66 per cent to 80,681 units in September from 68,572 units a year ago.
Its cumulative motorcycle sales during the first half of the current fiscal were down by 3.37 per cent at 10,82,368 units as against 11,20,108 units during the same period last year. The company’s first half cumulative total sales were also down by 3.65 per cent at 10,85,901 units, against 11,27,073 units during the first half of last fiscal.
