The High Court on Thursday directed the State government to file objections in connection with a petition challenging privatisation of computer education (Mahiti Sindhu) in government schools.
Hearing a petition by Prakash B, challenging the award of computer education to Karnataka State Electronics Development Corporation Limited (KSEDCL), the Division Bench comprising Chief Justice Vikramajit Sen and Justice B V Nagarathna adjourned the hearing after the Government sought more time to file objections.
During the hearing, counsel for KSEDCL Nagananda submitted that the government was committed for providing computer education and therefore the matter was entrusted to the firm which would provide infrastructure and education.
