Briefing the media, Minister for IT/BT, Katta Subramanya Naidu said that a committee has been set up to deal with granting speedy clearances for projects. The committee headed by the Principal Secretary of Commerce and Industry will comprise heads of Revenue, Urban Development, Karnataka State Pollution Control Board, IT/BT, BWSSB, BESCOM and KSRTC. The MD of Udyog Mitra will be the convener of the committee.

Meanwhile, Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) has agreed to construct multi-storeyed buildings equipped with R&D and incubation centres for micro and small entrepreneurs.
These places will be constructed across the city, depending on where the demand is greater and will also be rented out at lower prices.

BDA will be coming out with a blueprint for this plan in a month’s time, according to the minister.
