<p>One more sloth bear, Kalinga (12) died at the Bear Rescue and Rehabilitation Center (BRRC) on Sunday morning after prolonged illness. <br /><br /></p>.<p>The bear was critically ill and was diagnosed positive for tuberculosis and canine adino viral infection. <br /><br />Kalinga was also suffering from series of muscular convulsions and was under treatment for the last eight months. <br /><br />The bear was rescued from Chattisgarh in August 2010 and ever since, was housed at rehabilitation centre. Kalinga happens to be the seventh bear to have died of TB. <br /><br />Following his death, there are only 94 rescued bears housed in the rescue centre, under the management of SOS Wildlife, Bannerghatta.</p>
