Rock 'n' Roll with Bollywood singers

Delhi Government will host its annual carnival of modern contemporary music, the ‘Qutub Festival’ featuring top Bollywood singers against the backdrop of the majestic Qutub Minar from November 15 to 19.

The five-day music extravaganza will see some of the big names like Shaan, Hariharan, Shreya Ghoshal, Mohit Chauhan and Pakistani sufi singer Arif Lohar who will perform live to make Delhiites groove.

Organised by the Department of Art, Culture and Langu­a­g­es and Punjabi Academy, the much awaited music festival will also have Astitva band performing on the first day making the event bigger and better. The event is part of  ‘Delhi Celebrates’, an initiative taken by Delhi’s CM. ‘Delhi Celebrates’ is nearly a six month long festival to celebrate the rich and composite culture of India.

This will be the third time that the capital will witness the remarkable music festival in a modern format at Qutub.

According to Rawail Singh, secretary, Punjabi Academy, “Right from its inception, the Qutub Festival has gained euphoric response from Delhiites. Held in the precincts of Qutub, the festival has a unique character and gives soul stirring experiences.”  “We are confident and sure that the audience will appreciate and welcome this with open arms.”
