The electric poles were uprooted, transformers were damaged and wires had snapped in many areas.
Addressing media person here on Wednesday night after visiting Raichur Thermal Power Station (RTPS), he said power restoration work was on. Power is supplied round-the-clock to gruel centres. He said, there will not be load-shedding as hydel reservoirs have good storage. Four RTPS units were closed as hydel stations were generating more power.
