After three years, killer wife nabbed

Woman from Mysore arrested for husbands murder

Police here have busted a three-year-old murder case arresting the victim’s wife in Mysore.

Rajeshwari 36 years, has been arrested by Pension Mohalla police on the charges of stabbing her husband Nandakumar to death.

It is said that Nandakumar, son of Nagaraj of Pension Mohalla here was having an illicit affair with Rajeshwari. Rajeshwari who was already married, had a son and had rented the house of Nandakumar’s aunt. When the relatives of both were incensed to learn about their relationship, the duo entered into wedlock.

The joy was shortlived as quarreling became the order of the day. Nandakumar was peeved at the decision of Rajeshwari to bring her son from the first marriage, to live with them. Nandakumar had even complained about this to his father, but to no avail. The elders preferred to stay aloof as they were not happy with the marriage.

On June 10, 2009, Nandakumar was found stabbed to death, while Rajeshwari was not to be seen. Upon investigation, the needle of suspicion turned on Rajeshwari and eventually the special police team led by assistant superintendent of police Yeda Martin reached the accused on run in Mysore.

The team consisted of circle inspector H B Sanjeevegowda, constables Siddegowda and Harish. Upon quizzing the accused it came to know that Rajeshwari did her husband to death with a knife, when the quarrel between the duo reached a stage.
